5. (a) Distinguish between self-pollination and cross-pollination. [4 marks]
(b) State four features of a flower that is adapted to pollination by insects. [8 marks]
(c) Describe what happens from the moment a pollen grain lands on a compatible stigma until fertilisation occurs. [8 marks]
(a) Define the term food web. [3 marks]
(b) Construct a food web containing at least six named organisms found in a Nigerian savanna ecosystem, and identify one producer, one primary consumer and one tertiary consumer in it. [10 marks]
(c) Explain why the number of organisms decreases at each successive trophic level. [7 marks]
